This policy explains what data Trackisy collects as part of the GPS fleet tracking service, why, for how long it is kept, and what your rights are.

Data we collect

As part of using Trackisy, we process several categories of data:

  • Account data: name, work email, phone number, company, login credentials.
  • Vehicle GPS and telematics data: position, speed, trips, engine status, alert events (speeding, harsh braking, geofencing, etc.) transmitted by the devices installed on the fleet's vehicles.
  • Platform usage data: connection logs, actions performed on the dashboard, notification preferences.

Purposes of processing

This data is used to:

  • Provide the GPS tracking, trip replay, geofencing and alerting service,
  • Ensure account security and authentication,
  • Generate activity, maintenance and consumption reports for the fleet manager,
  • Provide customer support and improve the platform.

Legal basis

Processing of the fleet's GPS data is based on the performance of the contract with the account holder (the fleet manager) and, where applicable, on the account holder's legitimate interest in tracking and securing its vehicles. It is the account holder's responsibility to ensure that installing the tracking device on its vehicles and informing its drivers complies with its own obligations.

Retention period

Account data is kept for the duration of the contractual relationship. Position and trip data is kept for a limited period, defined by the subscribed plan, to enable trip replay and report generation. [[TO BE COMPLETED: exact retention period for position data per plan]]

Recipients and processors

Data is accessible to authorized Trackisy teams and, where applicable, to technical processors required for the service to operate (hosting, transactional email and SMS delivery). These processors are bound by confidentiality and security obligations. [[TO BE COMPLETED: named list of processors]]
